B.Sc. Aviation with CPL in India
Complete your aviation degree while undertaking integrated Commercial Pilot Licence training in India.
- Three-year B.Sc. Aviation degree
- DGCA-aligned CPL pathway
- Parallel academic and flight training
Earn a three-year B.Sc. Aviation degree while completing professional CPL training—an integrated pathway built for the next generation of aviation leaders.
GD Goenka Aviation brings university education and professional pilot preparation into coordinated learning pathways. Students build a strong understanding of aviation science, operations, safety and leadership, with the option to develop practical cockpit skills through integrated CPL training.
The department is part of GD Goenka University’s aerospace and energy studies ecosystem in Gurugram. Students can select from three programmes: B.Sc. Aviation with CPL training in India, B.Sc. Aviation with CPL training in the USA or Europe, or a standalone B.Sc. Aviation degree without CPL training.
Choose the academic and flight-training pathway that matches your licensing plans, career goals and preferred training location.
Complete your aviation degree while undertaking integrated Commercial Pilot Licence training in India.
Combine the B.Sc. Aviation degree with professional pilot training delivered through an international pathway in the USA or Europe.
Study aviation as an undergraduate discipline without undertaking commercial pilot training as part of the programme.
Flight-training locations, licensing routes, medical standards, fees and conversion requirements vary by pathway. Contact Aviation Admissions for the current programme structure before applying.
Instead of completing a degree and flight school in separate stages, students progress through academic study and pilot training together.
Work toward a B.Sc. Aviation degree and DGCA-aligned commercial pilot training within a coordinated programme.
Begin flight exposure from Semester 2 and connect classroom learning directly with cockpit practice.
Complete supervised flying alongside simulator, night, solo cross-country and multi-engine training.
Develop technical knowledge, leadership awareness and an academic foundation for roles beyond the cockpit.
A progressive curriculum moves from aviation foundations to aircraft operations, management and advanced professional preparation.
Professional flight preparation runs alongside the degree, helping students apply what they learn in realistic aviation environments.
Air navigation, regulations, technical-general subjects and aviation meteorology.
Instrument procedures and preparation for emergency scenarios in a controlled environment.
Supervised flight instruction leading into solo, cross-country and night-flying experience.
Multi-engine endorsements and operational knowledge aligned with commercial-pilot development.
Aviation graduates can pursue flying careers and a wider range of operational, safety and leadership opportunities.
Progress toward airline flying roles after satisfying applicable licensing and recruitment requirements.
Develop further ratings and help train the next generation of pilots.
Support flight planning, scheduling and operational decision-making.
Contribute to safe, efficient passenger and airside operations.
Work across compliance, risk management and safety systems.
Build toward future roles such as captain, chief pilot or aviation executive.
The academic degree and pilot training progress in parallel. This coordinated structure is designed to reduce duplication and let students connect aviation theory with practical flying throughout the programme.
The official programme description states that students begin flying from Semester 2.
The programme describes more than 200 hours of supervised flight training, together with simulator, solo cross-country, night-flying and multi-engine experience.
Subjects include aviation science, aerodynamics, meteorology, mathematics, aircraft systems, navigation, safety management, air law, airline operations, human factors and aviation management.
No educational programme can guarantee airline employment. Graduates must meet current DGCA licensing rules, medical standards, airline selection criteria and any additional ratings or experience required by an employer.
